Rob Anderson has been working in the gambling game industry since he took a job as a visualiser at Barcrest in 1991. Responsible for bringing ideas to life by drawing the games designed by other members of the Barcrest team was a great way to learn about games design. Moving on to studio manager at BWB in Newark gave Rob the independence to create some very successful games especially in the German market, and for the first time to design and develop his own ideas.
Moving to Mazooma in ‘97 was where Rob fully took on the Head of Games roll in charge of a team of talented designers that held top spot in the UK market for over 2 years. Developing quality product that can still be found in arcades up and down the country.
After noticing the fast approaching online revolution Rob decided to fulfill a lifetime’s ambition and start his own business. Cometa Wireless developed over twenty J2me mobile gambling games and a full online casino platform to host and run the games. mbet .com was the first site to be developed on the Arcadia platform but soon Cometa was delivering its product as a white label to Foxy Bingo, Super Casino and The Daily Mirror.
Rob’s second company:Alchemybet was sold with its B2C brand pocketfruity.com in 2012 and is now part of a PLC listed on the London Stock Exchange.
In 2014 Rob decided to go back to his first love, starting Spike Games with the intention of developing product that offered something different to the player. Still within the bounds of what makes a slots game successful: games per hour, win balance, feature frequency, all wrapped up in amusing, exciting and attractive graphics.
We aren’t a company that will reskin a product ad infinitum. We’ll only release what we think is our best work at that time. We like to establish a relationship with our partners so we can work together to develop some great games.
